✨DEDICATED TRACKS FOR VIOLA & CELLO! Violists and cellists galore! Now you get to enjoy classes only for these low end instruments. Don’t worry, you’ll also have classes where you play with fiddlers. Viola & Cello Survey
We are taking a survey of our viola and cello families to see which week(s) to offer our dedicated track. We need to focus our resources wisely (aka not hire a teacher for just 2 campers)! If we have enough viola and cello campers we will have dedicated tracks during both weeks! Please take a moment to fill out the survey - it’s quick!

PFC is a day camp for kids in Portland, Oregon founded in 2008 by local teacher and musician Kate O'Brien.
Sophie Enloe joined Kate in 2013 and we have grown from 1 week of camp with 30 campers to 2 weeks with more than 120 campers. Our growth and the demand for meeting our students where they are has motivated us to launch two new programs in 2026: “Cello & Viola track” and a “Teen Camp” for ages 13+ who have outgrown our general camp. Teen Camp also features an optional Teacher Training module for campers interested in becoming counselors! So cool!
In our general camps, tunes & campers are arranged in 3 levels of study for everyone age 6-16. We welcome players from beginner to advanced ability, on violin, viola & cello.
Camp highlights include a special guest "Fiddle Hero or Heroine", an outdoor square dance with a live dance band and our amazing end-of-week outdoor concert. We require campers have at least 1 year of private study to attend fiddle camp. Note reading is not required but is helpful. Email Kate if you have more questions.
